Software firm Kuliza raises ₹20 crs led by Silicon Valley's Emergent

Bengaluru-headquartered software firm Kuliza Technologies has raised $3 million (about ₹20 crore) in funding led by Silicon Valley-based Emergent Ventures. Earlier in 2013, Kuliza had raised an undisclosed sum from Blume Ventures. Founded in 2006, Kuliza gives digital transformation and operational intelligence solutions to financial enterprises and counts Aditya Birla Finance among its customers. Kuliza launched flagship product Lend.in in 2017 Funding will be used to develop Lend.in Kuliza.

The Karnataka Transport Department has seized at least 170 bikes of bike-taxi startup Rapido for running the service illegally in Bengaluru. The department also revealed it plans to file a police complaint. This comes after ride-hailing startup Ola was fined X₹5 lakh to revoke a six-month ban on all of its services in Bengaluru over the same violation. Flipkart Group CEO Krishnamurthy invests ₹1.6 crores in UrbanClap

Home services marketplace UrbanClap has raised ₹1.6 crore from Flipkart's Group CEO Kalyan Krish-namurthy. This comes after UrbanClap raised $50 million in Series D round of funding led by Steadview Capital and Vy Capital in November 2018. Previously, Krishnamurthy invested in industrial tools and equip-ment marketplace Moglix, fitness and health tech company Curefit and co-living startup NestAway.




Google-backed local delivery app Dunzo to raise ₹80 crore

Google-backed local delivery startup Dunzo is raising about ₹80 crore in a Series C funding round. Investors including Google, Blume Ventures and Alteria Capital are participating in the round, as per regulatory filings. Launched on WhatsApp in 2015 by Ankur Aggarwal, Mukund Jha, Kabeer Biswas, and Dalvir Suri, Bengaluru-based Dunzo offers artificial intelligence-driven task management services.
